I was pleased to find this forum!
I also like that you have it set up in such a way as to keep folks focused on the purpose of this forum. However, I think there also needs to be an opportunity for CRM comments that may not address any of the existing Mac CRM applications.
As for myself, My desktop computers have always been Macs. But my laptops for work have not. For example, I was forced (as a condition of employment) to purchase a PC laptop.
While working on that PC laptop (it died and finally got replaced by a MacBook), I discovered the tremendous value of using a CRM. My CRM was ACT! That software served me well.
Now, I am seeking an OSX CRM solution.
My strong preference is for another software package that "lives" on my laptop. We could probably have a pretty good discussion about the merits and shortcomings of cloud-based CRM vs software on our computers but I would rather focus upon applications for my laptop.
My initial queries have not returned much. I have been underwhelmed by the lack of offerings as compared to what CRM solutions are available in the PC world.
May I also share that the vendors of Mac-based CRM solutions do not seem to be very marketing oriented? The websites and the information that is offered do not appear to be meaty or substantial in a way that would bolster my confidence in making one of these possible choices my personal CRM solution.
How strange is that??? A CRM offering that lacks sparkle and sizzle when the very people that you hope are going to buy your product are in the very business of creating that sizzle and sparkle? Folks, everybody who is currently offering a CRM solution to the Mac market needs to back off a bit and strongly reconsider just exactly how you are going to differentiate your special version of CRM in a particularly "Mac way."
As I have visited the various websites, I am struck by the lack of "sex appeal" and the apparent unwillingness to break a sweat in trying to get my business.
How many of these Mac CRM's synch to my iPhone?
Who is breaking new ground and doing things in a way that enable me to sell more customers in a better way?
We are all very aware of the strong educational and artistic links to Apple products. It's about time for the Mac CRM community to get things stirred up and cut a fresh trail for others to follow. Get a clue--Mac users are not reactive, they are proactive. If you give us some innovative CRM solutions, we will blaze a new path for you. If not, why bother, get out of the way, so someone else can do the job you should have done already!
